If you do so, please keep in mind that the captured video data is sent to the hard drive at a certain speed and rate. If you are using a only a small hard drive, we recommend to change the standard path of the video library to a larger external drive. Please make sure to have enough storage space available, when you plan to record longer screencasts. Screencasts recorded with Screenium can quickly become very large. Screenium intitially captures the video content uncompressed or with only low compression to maintain the best possible recording quality and speed. By changing the saving location you can also use an external hard drive to save the recorded video data. Just click on the "Change" button to change the storage location.
Per default the captured movies are stored in the media library folder that is located in ~/Movies/Screenium. Change the saving location of the captured movies. Open the preferences Go to the top menu bar and click "Screenium 3" "Preferences" or press "CMD ( )" + "," to open the preferences pane.
